The Me & Mine Project {July}

It feels like this month the Summer has finally arrived! We have had a really busy month again, but unlike June it has been mostly positive busy with weddings, business sales, a short break to North Devon and the arrival of Aunty G from Australia. We have also had a tough few weeks with Mr H’s Dad being very unwell but he is now on the road to recovery. This month has seen little D settle really well at her new nursery and Little F get well and truly on the move crawling at super speed and talking gibberish all the time.

This months photo was taken on our little holiday to North Devon. We stayed in a lovely little sea side themed caravan on a farm, with views of the sea and the farm’s horses. It was super relaxing watching the sun set when the children had (finally) gone to sleep and little D absolutely loved our trips to a dinosaur park, the beach, our Wedding venue and a theme park! We all came home pretty tired (and very hot after we managed to pick the hottest two days of the year to go away… although mustn’t complain about that!) but had a great time and made lots of hilarious family memories.

Our photo is just an iPhone photo but I love it as we are sat on the Dinosaur train which little D was SO excited about! It seems she is a bit of a thrill seeker and loved her first rollercoaster ride aswell!

I am loving this month: playing Pokemon Go, seeing Baby No.3 wiggling at our scan, finalising the sale of my business, watching Stranger Things on Netflix, the arrival of Aunty G for a whole month, going on a North Devon mini holiday.

Mr H is Loving: playing Pokemon Go, seeing Baby No.3  wiggling at our scan, watching Stranger Thing on Netflix, time off work in the sunshine for our mini holiday, taking little D on the Dodgems.

Little D is loving:  collecting monster toys and taking them everywhere in her pockets (still), going on her first roller coaster, arriving at nursery with a smile, giving out her party invites, going on holiday, going to her first wedding.

Litte F is loving: scoffing bananas, crawling around super fast, standing up in his cot, blowing raspberries and clapping his hands, trying to grab every phone or laptop he can reach, growing EVEN more blonde curls, underwater swimming.

{The Ordinary Moments} #29’A big Surprise’

My blogging has not been great this month, probably because every opportunity I have had to sit down on the sofa ( my blogging desk!) I have fallen asleep…. and thats probably because  baby number 3 is well and truly on the way.

After a big surprise, some weeks of keeping it a special little secret we have shared the news with our family and friends and we are preparing for life with 3 children under 4 and the madness that is surely going to bring. Little D is pretty excited and I’m sure growing up with siblings is one the best things we can give her, friends for life. We are so excited to have a big family and all that it entails and ready to enjoy what will be our last baby and the craziness of having a new born, a toddler and a pre-schooler at home. I’m pretty sure we can kiss goodbye to willing baby sitters and sleep for a good few years but am sure it will all be SO worth it when we have 5 of us to enjoy all of our adventures.

{The Ordinary Moments}#27 ‘The Wedding’

We took these photos in our garden before we went off to watch some lovely friends tie the knot. Little F went off to spend some time with Grandma and it was really great to get little D a special outfit and spend some quality time the 3 of us. Theres nothing like a wedding for an atmosphere full of happiness and I just love these photos, especially the one of Mr H and little D looking so small, can’t help but smile when you see her big cheesy grin!

{The Ordinary Moments}#26 ‘Toddler Group (save my sanity group)’

These aren’t the best quality photos, but every week we go off to our local toddler group, and as any parent of an under 3 will tell you there is nothing quite like a bunch of knackered people, some free coffee and a biscuit, toys and snack for children for making you feel like more of a normal person again. Being a parent really is like being in a club, a club where you realise just how whole consuming and tiring it is looking after the little people and theres nothing better than getting an hour once a week to just have a laugh with other adults and hold an adult conversation while the little people play with pink gunk in a tray. Little F is just big enough to play with the big kids toys now too so I have actually managed to drink my coffee recently too, HURRAH for toddler group!

{The Me and Mine Project} 2016 June

June has disappeared in a flash of not too sunny days and too much work work work in the Howeshold. We are looking forward to July and getting up to some much needed beach and Summer fun. We have all been sleepy and full of cold and hopefully July will give us some much needed down time and fun.

This months photos are taken in the Pick your Own just down the road from our house. Last year we went a little too late and so this year we made sure we made it in time for the best fruit. Little D LOVED it! She did, however, not quite get the concept and we ended up with nearly a whole punnet of strawberries with on bite out of them! The great thing about pick your own is they also sell ice cream, and little D is an ice cream fiend! ( so is Mr H to be fair..)

I am loving this month: a few girly evenings with friends gossiping, cooking Gousto meals- yum, visiting old friends in Somerset, planning (Pintrest browsing) a shuffle upstairs to create a playroom.

Mr H is Loving: Football on TV all the time! (until we got knocked out), playing his Father’s Day ukulele, eating Gousto meals, visiting old friends in Somerset.

Little D is loving:  collecting monster toys and taking them everywhere in her pockets, talking about her birthday in September, colouring in the lines (kind of) her new balance bike and Peppa Pig Helmet.

Litte F is loving: starting to crawl, sitting up after his naps and playing with his toys in his cot, growing some golden curls,  saying mama, scoffing strawberries, trying to play with D’s monsters…

Little F @ 9 months

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Still sleeping like a trooper and rarely waking in the night. He needs to nap often and when he does nap they are pretty long, we are pretty lucky, he is usually happy to settle himself in his cot and sleep for a good hour or more in the morning and afternoon. He does suffer very badly with the sour hour before bed though!

He no longer goes to bed in our room to be shuffled later but spends the whole night in his big boy cot in with his big sister, this weekend we are planning on moving his cot down to the bottom level and he has worked out how to sit up by himself grab the bars and try to stand up.

He has started to babble away at his toys and i’m pretty sure I heard him say ma ma ma ma the other day! Toys with small moving parts like wheels are still his favourite and spends ages spinning them round with his fingers.

He is wearing a mixture of 6-9 and 9-12 still and I just love his little chubby knees in shorts!

We have yet to find something little F won’t eat, strawberries are a firm favourite at the moment, he loves a whole strawberry to chew (still no teeth) and when he’s finished chewing and sucking it he loves nothing more than to squish it all over the place!!

He is on the move! Crawling has begun…its still pretty slow and un coordinated but i’m pretty sure he will be whizzing round causing havoc soon, although I feel a little bit excited to go and get his first cruising shoes!!

So much blonde hair, and some little curls appearing at the back too.

Litte D at the same age, I can definitely see similarities but at the same time they are very different.

{The Ordinary Moments}#25 ‘No more naps!’

Little D is fast approaching her third birthday and we reluctantly ( me not her!) have given up her afternoon nap. Little F has recently started to reliably have a good long sleep in the afternoon so its timing is a little bittersweet. We have been pretty floored towards the end of this month with both Mr H and I being super busy with work, and the inevitable arrival of a horrible cold. Little D  fell asleep on the sofa this week, which she NEVER does, and it made me realise how tired we all are at the moment. I am hoping July will bring us some more sunshine (and energy)
